Radiance Vitamin C Serum
Vitamin C is referred to as the "Beauty Vitamin" for its many skin-enhancing properties. We use an oil- soluble, very stable Vitamin C ester called Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate which has anti-oxidant activity, inhibiting lipid peroxidation. Topical use can mitigate the damaging effects of UV exposure. Studies have shown it to stimulate collagen production as well as clarifying and brightening the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment) and promoting a more even skin tone. Unlike ascorbic acid, it will not exfoliate or irritate skin.
Our Vitamin C Serum has a base of lightweight Squalane Serum which provides a silky, smooth and elegant texture.
Included in this fabulous formula is our In-house infusion of Sencha Green Tea, Frankincense Resin extracts and Sea Buckthorn CO2 (a shelf-stable, more superior form of this beloved oil) and Vitamin E to complete this antioxidant-rich formula. Sea Buckthorn contains vitamins B1, B2, K, C, A, and E, folic acid, and an array of powerful antioxidants and minerals.

Formula Update:
We have updated our formula to now include powerful antioxidant Coenzyme Q10, which is vital to production of energy within cells. It is also a very powerful antioxidant or free radical scavenger. Topically applied, CoQ10 can penetrate the cell layers of the skin and may attenuate the depth of wrinkles due to photo aging, as well as epithelial cell turnover. Kerotinocyte cells make up the majority of human skin cells and CoQ10 has been shown to protect these skin cells from oxidative DNA damage induced by ultraviolet light. CoQ10 supports the body's natural defense mechanism against the damaging effects of free radicals, particularly the lipid per oxidation in skin. It is a useful cosmetic ingredient for skin care and sun protection products.

WHO IT MAY NOT BE FOR:
The Vitamin C we use (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate ) is much more gentle than most Vitamin C Serums on the market. Our Radiance Vitamin C Serum is formulated with sensitive or blemish prone skin in mind and It is very unlikely that they will clog pores or cause irritation - However, we still encourage you to listen to your skin and check the ingredient list to see if there is anything you may be sensitive or allergic to.
